SPA's Joint Defense Support Group provides aviation-focused analysis and program management for life-cycle systems engineering and logistics support, rapid capabilities development and fielding, cyber warfare operations, nuclear C3, and integrated air and missile defense planning. We provide advanced studies, wargame development, and analysis to support materiel operations, supply strategies, and fleet readiness.

SPA has a near term need for a Senior Systems Administrator located in Hanover, MD. #MC



Responsibilities

Candidate will serve as the System Administrator in support of the Project Manager Cyber and Space (PM C&S) office for a closed restricted network with additional support to other DoD guest systems at various classification levels. Tasks include performing installation, troubleshooting and other administrative tasks associated with ongoing maintenance and enhancement of information systems and services.

Individual will perform systems planning, management, analysis, integration, installation and training tasks that include all aspects of preparing and implementing a highly complex and integrated array of hardware, software (applications and operating systems), networks and procedures.

Additional responsibilities include updating, upgrading, security hardening and maintenance tasks on a variety of servers including physical, virtual and cloud based to include performing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) configurations on Windows, Linux, and Network based technologies.

Must have the ability to use script Infrastructure as Code using technologies such as Amazon CloudFormation, Terraform or Ansible.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
  • Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification as specified in the DoD 8570-01-M
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in system administration
  • Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain this throughout employment
