Product Manager

The DCS Air & Space Technology (AST) Sector is seeking an experienced Product Manager to support extensive high visibility Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) efforts. As a member of our team in Dayton, OH, you will support the customer in strategic planning, resource management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. This role will play a critical part in coordinating multi-year programs, optimizing resource allocation, and driving continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio of projects and products.

Essential Job Functions:

Assist in developing multi-year program and product strategies, roadmaps, and schedules aligned with enterprise (DoD, DAF, AFMC, AFRL) objectives.

Analyze cost, schedule, and performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making.

Support the planning and execution of multi-year programs and initiatives, integrating activities across multiple project teams.

Support the requisition and allocation of personnel, funding, tools, and infrastructure to maximize project success.

Assist in the preparation and justification of funding requirements, Unfunded Requirement Requests (UFRs), and budget documentation.

Coordinate support agreements for the receipt of external funds and resource-sharing with external organizations.

Identify and manage program risks, developing contingency plans and mitigation strategies.

Research and track industry trends, commercial product development, IR&D programs, SBIR initiatives, and Government R&D projects to identify opportunities.

Analyze emerging policies and regulations that may impact customer decisions and operations.

Communicate program status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders, including sponsors and the user community.

Facilitate user community feedback in product development and roadmap planning.

Represent the customer at stakeholder meetings, technical interchange meetings, and engagements with senior leadership.

Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess program success.

Monitor prime contractor performance and provide recommendations to enhance project execution.

Drive continuous process improvements, facilitating Agile retrospectives and Kaizen events to enhance operational efficiency.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a BS degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, and 8 years of experience in program and product management, preferably within DoD, DAF, AFMC, or AFRL environments.

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible to attain a Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.

Familiarity with Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) and its application within the DoD environment.

Strong understanding of strategic planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.

Experience with DoD funding processes, acquisition strategies, and program execution.

Ability to analyze performance data and recommend evidence-based improvements.

Strong communication and leadership skills to engage with senior leadership, sponsors, and technical teams.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies, kaizen events, and process improvement frameworks.

Desired Skills:

Active U.S. DoD security clearance, Secret or higher.

MS in Computer Science, Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.

Knowledge and experience with Modeling & Simulation (M&S) environments (constructive and virtual) and/or MS&A concepts.
