Basic Qualifications
Education Requirements: Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer, you will be a key part of a cross-disciplinary team responsible for designing advanced electronic hardware. You will have the opportunity to be involved in all program phases, including requirements analysis, schematic capture, defining routing constraints, directing PCB/PWB layout and routing activities, and supporting the manufacturing, integration & test, and qualification. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to develop hardware that meets their high expectations. In this role, you will primarily support the development of new 3U VPX modules that enable mission-critical systems to be more capable, cyber-resilient, and survivable. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: designing electrical hardware using the Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition tool suite, high-speed digital and high-density circuit card design incorporating embedded processors and/or FPGAs, and knowledge of VITA/VPX standards including VITA 46, 48, 62, and 65. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
