Cox Communications is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join the Commercial Services Customer Experience and Process Improvement team. This role will be responsible for advanced analytics solutions design and implementation. The role requires the ability to effectively support our team of process and customer experience professionals and collaborate with the data professionals across Cox Communications organization. What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and data professionals across Cox Communications Commercial Services. Utilize data insights to identify Process and Customer Experience opportunities for improvement and transformation.
  • Participate in collaborative, cross-functional initiatives and projects. Offer thought leadership on data requirements and the scope of analysis necessary to support decision-making and deliver business insights.
  • Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources. Delivers concise, compelling, data- and insight-driven business recommendations on where and how modified decisions can lead to business optimization and strategy improvements.
  • Determine data collection, synthesis and analytical methodologies for investigating challenges and opportunities. Document processes, procedures, and best practices related to data management and analysis.
  • Write complex SQL queries to merge, blend, and analyze data from multiple sources. Clean and prepare data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide business requirements and thought leadership to peer teams for developing and maintaining ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into on-premises or cloud-based data lakes, tables/views, or data warehouses.
  • Develop robust data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI, Tableau or similar software.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to other members of the process and customer experience team, helping them to understand and apply best practices in analytics, reporting and statistical analysis.


Who You Are

Minimum

  • BA/BS degree in a related discipline (i.e., Business Intelligence & Analytics, Information Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.) with 4 years of experience in a related field (e.g., reporting, statistics, data modeling, data analytics, data visualization, data interpretation); or 8 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Successful candidates must know how to intuitively assimilate, manipulate, and visualize large quantities of data in a visually appealing and easily consumable manner.
  • Highly skilled in advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau/Power BI with the ability to provide visual analysis, dashboard and business data insights to decision makers and company leadership.
  • Capability of presenting analysis and insights to leadership & explain complex concepts using data visualization.
  • Experience in data cleansing and preparation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Proven ability to work in a cross-organizational team environment, collaborating with business leads on key analytical deliverables.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills with a proven history of influencing outcomes and gaining alignment.
  • Understand and influence business partners & stakeholders
  • Ability to be successful within a fast paced, complex, matrixed environment
  • Self-starter - work independently with minimal direction or oversight
  • Strong organization skills to properly plan, prioritize and deliver results.
  • Python/R analytics familiarity


Preferred

  • Master's degree with 2 years of experience in a related discipline.
  • 8 years successful experience developing advanced analytics solutions (e.g. predictive models, anomaly detection models, correlation models, etc.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices
  • Six Sigma Lean certification preferred (can be acquired in this role)
  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics or Economics
  • MBA or advanced degree
  • Python, R, and GitHub experience
  • Telecommunications industry familiarity


USD 79,400.00 - 119,000.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $79,400.00 - $119,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
