Job Overview
The DV Business Analyst II provides support to clients by interpreting data, delivering actionable insights, and helping to develop action plans to address key business issues utilizing Data Ventures proprietary tools, analytical modules, and commercial query tools (including Alteryx and SQL) This position also uses Data Ventures' proprietary tools and analytical modules and performs in-depth analysis including forecasting analytics, assortment optimization, promotion effectiveness, out-of-shelf insights, loyalty analytics, and custom scorecards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Extracts and interprets data, insights using Data Ventures proprietary tools and analytical modules and performs in-depth analysis including forecasting analytics, assortment optimization, promotion effectiveness, out-of-shelf insights, loyalty analytics, and custom scorecards
- Participates in key client relationships by providing good communication, participating in weekly project meetings, and assisting in the daily email and phone interactions
- Analyzes and develops insightful presentations for assigned clients that lead to actionable results
- Acts as business liaison to Data Ventures development team by defining client business requirements for existing and new solutions and collaborative efforts through the development cycle
- Determines solution gaps that may need to be developed to enhance company offerings based on business knowledge and current developed solutions
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office - Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledgeable in SQL and Alteryx
- Highly analytical, self-starter,thought leader, an excellent communicator, analytically curious, possess a passion for data and insights, and have a strong math proficiency
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (4 years)
- Relevant knowledge acquired through 5+ years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred Business, Marketing, or a Finance degree
- Experience working with Revenue Growth Management
- Experience with forecasting analytic models
