HX5 is currently seeking a Logistics Manager for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Simulator's Division supporting Ground Based Training Systems at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create and manage a cost-effective support strategy for system development that is aligned with the Air Force's 12 Product Support Elements
Using an understanding of the Defense Transportation System, support the development of transportation plans and coordinate life-cycle logistics for major weapon systems
Understand logistics policies/system life cycles and assist in managing resources, establishing objectives, and coordinating participant relationships for program support.
Provide broad support in logistics and maintainability, including knowledge of financial and lifecycle cost analysis, AIS compatibility, supportability planning, data analysis and document preparation.
Assist management and evaluation of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), ensuring compliance with plans, and providing recommendations for maintaining project timelines.
Monitor acquisition projects, coordinate taskings, evaluate program support effectiveness, and advise on necessary actions to address issues and maintain project progress
Education and Experience:
Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field and at least three (3) years of experience in the respective discipline being performed, three (3) of which must be in the DoD.
Or ... Seven (7) years of directly related experience, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
* Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire.
- Must be able to travel, including air travel.
