Full-time Description
Function: Under the direction of both clinical and administrative supervision, the Lead Behavioral Health Specialist provides direct clinical services to clients of the Behavioral Health department. The Lead Behavioral Health Specialist also provides mentorship, coaching and training to newly hired therapists and interns as part of the department's broader training and onboarding process, and is a resource for ongoing mentorship and coaching for peers. The Lead Behavioral Health Specialist may also provide clinical supervision and hours of work oversight (not performance management) to up to two assigned staff. Representative Duties: Provides direct support to clients following Behavioral Health Specialist Job Description, at 90% effort * Provides direct case coordination services to medical patients * Provides direct behavioral health services to primary care patients * Provides child/adolescent care, as applicable * Ensures access to care * Provides coverage for assigned open access paging days (On-Call coverage and Drop-In Clinic hours) * Collaborates with other agencies and services * Performs and completes administrative tasks in a timely and efficient manner * Maintains required outpatient therapy caseload and meets productivity expectations, according to department standards * Adheres to NASW Code of Ethics Functions as a mentor, coach, trainer for newly hired therapists and peers, at 5% effort * Assists in educating and training newly hired therapists on systems, and department processes and practice procedures that support the provision of clinical work * Acts as an ongoing resource for peers for the above * Acts as a mentor for newly hired therapists and peers through modeling and by offering coaching on best practices for successfully meeting the core requirements of the therapist position * Assists the department management team with practice improvements/ innovation by acting as an advisor, and functions as a champion for identified practice change implementation * May also function as a formal clinical supervisor for up to two assigned staff Acts as Epic Super User for peers, at 5% effort * Participates in regular meetings with CTC and IT partners to discuss upcoming updates and system design that will impact BH staff/workflows, such as the twice monthly CTC Behavioral Health Workgroup * Completes and passes Epic University tracks associated with being a Super User and Report generator for the Epic EMR system * Provides trainings and support guides to peer to support best practices of utilization of the Epic EMR system Meets Agency Participatory Expectation
Performs other duties as related Requirements: * LICSW, LMHC, PsyD or Licensed PhD * Minimum 3 years post degree related work experience * Previous experience in outpatient therapy settings preferred * Experience with LGBTQ issues, HIV, and trauma is strongly preferred * Experience with substance use disorders, short-term interventions, and group work is preferred * Knowledge of a variety of mental health approaches * Ability to maintain up to date case records required * Experience working with an ethnically, culturally and racially diverse work staff preferred * Ability to work harmoniously with diverse groups of individuals required * Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multitask required * Consistently meeting expectations of the therapist position, including productivity and patient satisfaction expectations * Demonstrated interest and participation in quality improvement projects Physical Requirements: * Ability to meet the following physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations: * Sit at a computer station for extended periods of time * Ability to keyboard for extended periods of time Requirements
