JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY:

This position coordinates the activities of facilities personnel on assigned projects. The Pier Coordinator has the authority to make decisions involved with carrying out the above responsibilities on their assigned tasks, but with very little deviation from plans and goals provided by the Production Yard Supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  1. Assists with small boat maintenance and operations too include oil deployments.
  2. Assists with maintenance and operations of ECR and Riverport fire pumps.
  3. Assists with the coordination of all material movements from the waterfront ship force warehouse.
  4. Responsible for laydown area materials, and their organization.
  5. Assists with small carpentry work for all temp services and miscellaneous requests.
  6. Assists with the small maintenance items on ECR Fleet vehicles.
  7. Accomplishes daily check inspections on ECR vehicles and rental forklifts.
  8. Assists with maintaining overall cleanliness of pier 14 and pier 15.
  9. Maintains working knowledge of equipment and material on piers 14 and 15.
  10. Conducts daily walk abouts to ensure the safety and well-being of equipment and material on piers 14 and 15.
  11. Assists with maintenance of the ECR bathroom and break room trailer.
  12. Responsible for fuel cubes and ensuring proper levels.
  13. Maintains a safe and effective working environment.
  14. Perform other tasks as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  2. Three to Five years relate marine, shipyard, or industrial experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  3. Leadership.
  4. Teamwork Orientation.
  5. Ethical Conduct.
  6. Must have Microsoft office software experience.
  7. Ability to gain access to military installations.
  8. Must pass a drug test and background check.
  9. Willingness to work a flexible schedule.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and seek help with weights over 50 pounds.
  2. Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time, bend, reach and move about the facility.



While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger,

handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs/vertical ladders; balance;

stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move

up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision,

peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This is a physically demanding position and may accommodate some physical disabilities. Physical dexterity

may be required when performing walk thru and inspection of job sites. In the performance of the walk thru

you will be required to transverse steep stairwells, vertical ladders and bending or stooping thru tight spaces.

There may be occasional lifting of materials weighing not more than 50 pounds.



ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

This position works on the jobsite. There is exposure to hostile environments, loud noises, hazardous chemicals/fumes and airborne particles, smoke, extreme temperatures moving mechanical parts: high, precarious places.

During work-site visits will be required to wear appropriate PPE including, but not limited to: Hard hat

Ear plugs or attenuator Safety shoes

Dust mask or respirator Gloves
