The Company's Total Rewards package is at or above industry levels. The expected base salary range for this position is between 122,496.00 USD - 160,776.00 USD. Job related skills, experience, education, and location will be considered in setting actual starting base salary. In addition to your base salary and depending on job level, eligibility, and performance, a total package may include profit sharing, a short-term incentive and/or long-term incentives. We're seeking an Associate Manger, Direct-To-Consumer Operations Team Lead to drive digital operations and strategy for our growing house of brands. Reporting to the Director of DTC, this hands-on role collaborates across departments-Commercial, IT, eCommerce, Operations, Marketing, and Finance-to enhance efficiency, optimize fulfillment, and elevate the consumer experience.

This role oversees operations across a multi-node fulfillment network, ensuring seamless execution, cost efficiency, and scalability. The DTC Operations Lead will be responsible for holding our third-party logistics provider (3PL) accountable to their Service Level Agreements (SLAs) while driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize fulfillment performance. Additionally, this role will work closely with the Marketing team and Direct-to-Consumer Director to ensure alignment in hitting both top- and bottom-line goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Multi-Node Fulfillment & Supply Chain Optimization

  • Manage 3PL relationships, ensuring they meet and exceed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Analyze unit economics, fulfillment costs, and P&L to drive efficiencies.

  • Develop tracking systems to enforce on-time shipment SLAs across all fulfillment nodes.

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while improving service levels.

2. Inventory & Demand Planning

  • Forecast inventory needs based on projected orders and demand trends.

  • Maintain weeks-in-stock tracking across multiple fulfillment locations.

  • Conduct inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies for accuracy.

  • Ensure seamless execution of new and limited-edition product launches.

3. DTC Operations & Consumer Experience

  • Oversee backend product setup in the Product Information System (PIM).

  • Partner with Consumer Response team to optimize issue resolution & enhance consumer experience.

  • Manage manual backorders and ensure timely fulfillment resolutions.

4. Performance Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop tracking systems for key operational and supply chain metrics.

  • Monitor and hold 3PL accountable to SLAs, including on-time delivery and cost per order.

  • Leverage data insights to drive continuous process improvements across the fulfillment network.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Align DTC operations with organizational goals and drive execution across teams.

  • Partner closely with Marketing and GM to optimize demand planning, promotions, and financial performance.

  • Ensure seamless communication on stock levels, new product development (NPD), and discontinuations.

6. Market & Trend Analysis

  • Proactively analyze eCommerce trends to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Translate insights into strategic fulfillment and supply chain improvements.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Order Fulfillment Efficiency - % of orders shipped on time (Target: 98%+)

  • Order Defect Rate (ODR) - % of orders associated with a customer service inquiry

  • Cost per Order - Reduction in fulfillment & shipping costs (YoY % decrease)

  • In-stock Rate- Weeks of stock maintained per SKU (Optimized levels)

  • P&L Performance - Contribution to margin improvement and support of revenue targets based on in-stock rate of key SKUs

  • 3PL SLA Compliance - On-time shipments and service level adherence

  • New Product Launch Efficiency - % of launches executed without delays.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelors Degree and 5+ years in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) operations within the eCommerce industry

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Experience in consumer products or direct-to-consumer brands.

  • Strong initiative and drive - relentless, creative problem-solving ability when it comes to achieving a goal

  • Data driven approach with excellent analytical, excel, and problem-solving skills; ability to translate metrics into actionable insights

  • Strong systems operator who can learn new systems quickly to get things done, with attention to the "how" in addition to the "what"

  • Ability to think strategically and roll-up the sleeves to get into the details

  • Process and detail oriented with an ability to create and manage detailed standard operating procedures.

  • Outstanding, direct communication skills - both oral and written

  • Demonstrated relationship building and leadership across functions and levels

  • Comfort with ambiguity and pressure from multiple stakeholders

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Position is Full-Time, regular business hours, Monday-Friday

  • Office work environment: San Francisco, CA office, remote work available one day a week

  • Travel up to 10%

  • Relocation is not available for this opportunity
