POSITION SUMMARY:

Milliman is seeking a versatile, conceptual Graphic Designer to bring innovative visual storytelling, meticulous attention to detail, and passion for design excellence to our in-house Brand and Creative team. You will collaborate across multiple business lines to transform complex concepts into compelling, brand-aligned visuals across digital and print platforms. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Creative Execution:



  • Design and produce marketing and communications materials including presentations, brochures, conference booths, ads, social media graphics, email campaigns, mock-ups, and more
  • Develop visual assets using Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma, and Microsoft 365 applications
  • Develop and maintain design systems that ensure brand consistency while allowing for creative flexibility
  • Contribute to motion graphics, basic video editing, and interactive content creation


Brand Stewardship:



  • Champion and evolve Milliman's visual identity guidelines across all touchpoints
  • Create and refine visual assets for the company's brand portal, digital asset management system, and template libraries
  • Develop intuitive, accessible templates that empower non-designers while preserving brand integrity
  • Contribute to brand refreshes and campaign development with a focus on consistency and innovation


Collaboration & Communication:



  • Partner effectively with creative team, colleagues in marketing department, and business stakeholders to bring ideas to life
  • Articulate design decisions and concepts with clear rationale during presentations and reviews
  • Actively participate in creative ideation sessions, design critiques, and cross-functional projects
  • Educate non-design colleagues about brand guidelines and design best practices to improve cross-departmental visual literacy


Project Workflow:



  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards
  • Track project progress using our project management system (Wrike)
  • Follow established file management, version control, and production processes


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:



  • The ideal candidate must have minimum 1 years of relevant graphic design experience in-house or at an agency
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field
  • Compelling portfolio demonstrating strong typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and conceptual thinking
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Figma
  • Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word for branded presentations and templates
  • Understanding of design principles and visual hierarchy across various formats
  • Familiarity with print production processes and file prep best practices
  • Experience with data visualization and information design (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to explain design concepts to non-designers
  • Proactive problem-solver with exceptional time management, keen attention to detail, and quality control
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging design tools, trends, and methodologies


LOCATION:

This is a remote role. This job posting is expected to close on April 15th, 2025

COMPENSATION:

The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $109,000, depending on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, education, relevant work experience, qualifications, skills, certifications, location, etc.
