Summary of Job Duties:The Admissions Counselor/Recruiter for Online Programs plays a critical role in executing the University's undergraduate recruitment efforts for online programs and other designated areas. The position dual reports to the Office of Admissions and eLearning; it requires dynamic relationship building, strategic communication, and knowledge of online recruitment strategies. This position is enrollment-focused, and achieving enrollment targets is a fundamental key performance indicator for the position. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.

Required Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree; At least two (2) years of experience in online program development, admissions/recruitment, customer service, marketing, or a related field.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, high school counselors, community college representatives, and community organizations to establish pipelines for online program recruitment; Engage with prospective students through email, phone, text, social media, and virtual meetings to provide detailed information about UA Little Rock's online programs, including application processes, important dates, and program-specific requirements; Plan, organize, and participate in virtual recruitment events, webinars, and online college fairs to promote UA Little Rock's online programs to a wide audience; Participate in UA Little Rock's in-person recruitment events; Develop and strengthen partnerships with regional and national organizations, businesses, and community groups to enhance awareness of online programs and create new recruitment opportunities; Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative recruitment strategies tailored to attract and enroll students in online programs; Collaborate with campus departments and offices, including academic departments and online support services, to coordinate recruitment efforts and ensure prospective students have a seamless experience; Track, report, and analyze recruitment activities to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and recommend improvements; Collaborate with Corporate Partnerships to coordinate recruitment efforts of employees of corporate partners; Guide prospective students through the UA Little Rock online application process, financial aid steps, and use of the student information system; Provide detailed information about UA Little Rock's online programs, admissions requirements, and student support services, ensuring prospective students have a comprehensive understanding of their options; Assist with virtual campus tours and create virtual experiences for prospective online students to explore UA Little Rock's resources and community; Assist the Office of Admissions & Recruitment in-person campus visit program. Serve as Admissions/Recruiter liaison on the university Online Campus Advisory Board (OCAB);
Secondary Tasks:
Perform data entry and review admissions documents, including transcripts, test scores, and other required credentials, ensuring adherence to online program admission standards; Evaluate applications for online programs to determine admissibility and make admission decisions in accordance with university policies; Use online tools and resources to verify accreditation of colleges attended by transfer applicants and confirm prior enrollment; Serve as an essential employee during campus closures, working on-campus or remotely, as required by the employee's supervisor, to ensure continuity of necessary services; Perform additional duties as assigned to support the enrollment of students at UA Little Rock.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Comprehensive knowledge of the enrollment process, from application submission to final enrollment; Proficiency in managing and analyzing data files while utilizing a centralized administrative system; Ability to read maps, provide accurate directions, and navigate unfamiliar locations effectively; Proficiency with internet and standard office technology tools, including email, internet search engines, and software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and documents simultaneously; Ability to maintain well-organized working files and accurate documentation for assigned projects; Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required; Demonstrated ability to self-initiate and complete project tasks with minimal supervision; Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to effectively engage with non-technical users and provide clear explanations; Excellent public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences; Ability to create concise reports or narratives that analyze and interpret data, explaining its relevance to specific problems or scenarios; Valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle safely; Willingness and ability to travel in-state and out-of-state, including overnight stays, as part of recruitment responsibilities.
