We are in search of an Associate Principal, Health Planner to support our growing Health practice and continue the legacy of providing our clients and communities with creative design solutions that improve the health and human condition of those they serve. In the role of Associate Principal, Health Planner, we'll count on you to: Provide planning, design and coordination support on projects and pursuits. Engage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings. Prepare drawings and specification documents. Research, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials. Understanding of healthcare trends. Lead benchmarking activities and the development of continuous content. Prepare health planning presentation drawings, diagrams and narratives. Assist the coordination of all disciplines related to the building design and health planning. Research, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials. Responsible for mentoring junior staff or other interested colleagues in health planning practices. Contributes to the business development efforts on proposals and presentations to win new work and retain existing clients. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Architecture Minimum 12 years experience in A/E industry Minimum 7 years experience in Health Planning Architectural registration Strong computer skills (AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhino, MS Office, Blue Beam) Advanced credentials desired (e.g. ACHA, LEED, EDAC, AICP etc.) Must be willing to travel Must be capable of making client presentations Leadership and management skills are required Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible Excellent verbal and written communication skills Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field A minimum of 12 years related experience Strong organizational skills Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of buildings Understanding of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, prints, drawings and models An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
