In the community, TDOC supervises 79,000 offenders on probation, parole, or community corrections. The department operates 44 probation/parole offices in 13 districts across the state. The Tennessee Department of Correction operates safe and Job Overview: The Compliance Specialist 2 position monitors contract compliance and may function at times as the approving authority for specific actions occurring at privately managed facilities. This position reports directly to the Director of Contract Monitoring of Privately Managed Facilities with the Office of Inspector General (OIG). While this position will be assigned to a facility in Hartsville, Tennessee during normal business hours, the individual selected for this position may be required to work an irregular schedule and be available after regular working hours, on weekends, and holidays. This position may also require travel to assist with compliance activities at other facilities. Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and experience equivalent to five years of correctional work. Substitution of Experience for Education: Qualifying full-time professional or paraprofessional correctional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years. OR 7 years of compliance or auditing experience in correctional facilities or programs.
