Essential Job Duties |
Reporting to the Director of Campus Enterprises Information Technology, the Web Content Manager is responsible for the entire content lifecycle of both internal-facing and customer-facing web and other digital content for the division, including content strategy, creation, publication, maintenance, and performance analysis. On a daily basis, the Web Content Manager oversees content workflows and collaborates closely with content stakeholders across Campus Enterprises to ensure that content is timely, relevant, fit for business purposes, optimized for search and user experience, accessible, and aligned with Campus Enterprises' brand and messaging standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Production & Maintenance
Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to produce and maintain clear, accurate, timely, and accessible digital content that aligns with organizational objectives, brand standards, and user needs. Apply information architecture principles to develop and maintain clear, logical content structures that enhance searchability, navigation, and alignment with business objectives and user needs. Educate stakeholders and team members in tools, standards, and technologies used in content workflows (e.g., CMS, SEO, accessibility).
Accessibility & Compliance
Ensure that newly created content meets WCAG 2.1 AA standards and that existing content is systematically updated to achieve compliance. Conduct accessibility audits, prioritize remediation efforts, and ensure digital content aligns with accessibility standards. Provide guidance and direct support to content creators, offering remediation recommendations and hands-on assistance.
Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Utilize GA4 to generate clear reports on content engagement, search visibility, and user interactions.
Identify key content performance metrics aligned with organizational goals, focusing on accessibility, SEO, and user engagement. Implement a feedback loop, integrating analytics findings into content planning, SEO improvements, and accessibility enhancements.
Project & Workflow Management
Manage multiple concurrent content development projects from start to finish. Lead stakeholders and team members to maintain project momentum, facilitating decision-making to ensure delivery of high-quality content. Develop and refine content production and publication workflows, adapting to organizational needs and leveraging emerging technologies.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Digital Media, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

- Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, designers, leadership, and content contributors to align content with business objectives.
- Experience educating and supporting stakeholders on content processes, accessibility, and content quality standards.
- Strong facilitation skills to guide teams through decision-making and ensure content goals are met.
Project & Workflow Management
- Experience managing multiple content projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Ability to develop and refine content workflows in collaboration with IT and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills to track content updates, audits, and compliance efforts.
Content Development & Editorial Expertise
- Strong writing, editing, and content structuring skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and accessibly.
- Experience developing and maintaining digital content aligned with brand standards and user needs.
- Ability to apply information architecture principles to organize content logically for usability and searchability.
- Familiarity with accessibility best practices for content, including writing meaningful alt text and structuring documents for screen readers.
Technical Proficiency & Content Management
- Hands-on experience with CMS or LMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, Moodle) to create, manage, and publish content.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic CMS-related issues and work with IT teams to optimize workflows.
Accessibility & Compliance
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and ability to create and remediate content accordingly.
- Familiarity with accessibility tools and testing methods to monitor compliance.

Preferred Qualifications |
Technical Proficiency & Content Management
- Knowledge of digital content formatting, including HTML basics, metadata structuring, and template use.
Accessibility & Compliance
- Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and ability to create and remediate content accordingly.
- Experience conducting accessibility audits and implementing remediation strategies.
- Experience applying accessibility tools and testing methods to compliance and remediation efforts.
Analytics & Data-Driven Content Improvement
- Experience using GA4 or similar web analytics tools to track content performance and user engagement.
- Ability to interpret analytics reports and provide actionable insights to improve content quality, accessibility, and searchability.
- Ability to effectively communicate and introduce analytics concepts to non-technical stakeholders in an accessible and practical manner.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools for tracking content performance and user engagement.
