Inova Center for Personalized Health is looking for a dedicated Infection Preventionist to join the team. This role will be full-time day hybrid from Monday through Friday. Sign on and Relocation Bonus available.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Provides effective education and training regarding infection prevention and control (i.e. New Team Member Orientation, unit based in-services, community/patient/family education).
  • Facilitates changes within the organization to improve the culture surrounding infection prevention through the use of concepts outlined in performance improvement strategies.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and/or accreditation standards on infection prevention and control.
  • Recommends new or revised practices/procedures based on an epidemiologic review of scientific literature and currently accepted evidence-based infection prevention and control strategies.
  • Collaborates with the Public Health Department by following up on reportable diseases/conditions requiring public health action.
  • Collaborates with Team Member Health on implementing prevention and control measures to reduce the risk of occupational exposure to infectious diseases.


Additional Requirements:



  • Licensure - None required
  • Certification - Certified in Infection Control within two years of hire
  • Experience - 2 years of experience in nursing, medical technology or public health
  • Education - Bachelors Degree or MT(ASCP) Registry
  • Work Schedule - Full-Time Day Shift Hybrid Monday through Friday
