Payment Cashier
Overview Presbyterian is seeking a part-time Payment Cashiers! Presbyterian is seeking a Payment Cashier/Patient Access Advocate I is responsible for the primary registration of patient accounts, including self-pay, government, and commercial accounts, on the date of service for both scheduled and unscheduled visits. This role performs key registration functions such as updating demographic information, verifying insurance, collecting point-of-service liabilities, and documenting all required information in the ADT system. The Payment Cashier ensures that all account information is accurate to support clean billing processes. A foundational understanding of Medicare (CMS) guidelines, along with other relevant compliance and regulatory standards applicable to Patient Access, is essential. This role also emphasizes delivering the highest level of customer service during patient interactions and assisting patients and visitors with wayfinding as needed.
Part Time Required Need - Exempt: No
Ideal Candidate: 6 months experience in healthcare setting or 1 year customer service background. Cashier is responsible for the daily reconciliation of all service-related payments recorded during their shift, as well as resolution of any payment discrepancies. No need to make any bank deposits.
