Maintenance Clerk

Position Overview:

The Maintenance Clerk is a key position in the manufacturing support process that reports directly to the maintenance coach and works in unison with the maintenance coordinator. Responsible for maintenance inventory control and distribution. Maintains the routine support requirements of the preventive maintenance system and provides support as needed for the department to insure timeliness, completeness, quality, accuracy and overall efficiency of the department's goal of supporting production and facility needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Maintains the preventative maintenance systems part numbers, counts, generates and closes work orders.
• Responsible for receiving and storage organization of spare parts inventory.
• Distributes parts according to work orders and or requisitions.
• Conducts inventory cycle counts and verifies inventory locations.
• Recommends min/max inventory levels of maintenance supplies and parts eliminating non-essential inventory.
• Maintains the maintenance store room in a well organized manner.
• Maintains the weekly maintenance PM log for posting.

Position Requirements:

Successful candidate will be mechanically inclined, having experience with print reading, various machinery and maintenance processes. Must have strong organizational abilities and able to plan his/her time. Must be P.C. literate (Microsoft Office) and have good communication skills, both written and oral.

Physical/metal requirements needed to perform essential functions of the position:

Standing, bending, walking, climbing and lifting is required. No fear of heights and must be able to function under pressure.
