Responsibilities:

Design, modify, and optimize products following the engineering change processes. Manage product engineering projects within cost and time requirements. Identify and implement cost saving initiatives in collaboration with the manufacturing engineering team. Streamline project times by implementing efficient processes in design and assembly of equipment's. Provides modifications to finished product designs as required. Responsible for making sketches and rough layouts, record and analyze data, make calculations and estimates, and report on the findings. Modify and update the finished products based on data, calculations and customer feedback. Perform structural analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) on equipment components to ensure compliance with ISO standards. Uses computers extensively to produce and analyze designs, to simulate and test how an attachment operates and to generate specifications for the attachment. Work within MRP, Solidworks, EPDM, and ANSYS software to accomplish tasks. Develop detailed 2D and 3D production drawings and assemblies using Solidworks. Responsible for Parts Item Master to satisfy manufacturing requirements for Assigned Projects. Enter detailed Bill of Materials for parts and assemblies into Syteline ERP system. Add operations and materials for parts and assemblies into Syteline. Evaluate new manufacturing technologies and recommend changes for cost effective designs and manufacturability. Work with cross functional teams to identify the correct materials and manufacturing processes to save manufacturing cost. Continually drive the design towards DFX. Ensure that all products conform to the most recent and applicable standards and recommends manufacturing processes capable of producing products that will consistently conform to those standards. Develop test plans to test for failure of parts on the equipment. Ensure that testing is comprehensive, performed correctly and all failure modes are identified and documented. Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Service departments to actively seek out ideas for redesigns of existing products. Work with Sales team and provide them information to quote a product. Work with Marketing team and provide them Rendered pictures of the equipment's for manuals and presentations. Leading the planning, design, and execution of new product development projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration and successful product launches. Partner with Manufacturing suppliers to support technical activities and quality function to review and approve First Article Inspections, product deviation approvals, quality audits, CTQ definitions. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities for innovation. Participate in manufacturing trials, lab testing and field trials. DFMEA. Linear Tolerance Analysis. Participate in structured problem Solving (8D, Shainin, 5-Why) demonstrating strong critical thinking and problems solving. Hands-on work in the engineering test lab and on the shop floor may be required as well.Requires 10% Domestic Travel

Knowledge/Education:



  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer or related within the construction industry OR Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer or related within the construction industry.
  • Experience to include (2 yrs/Master's OR 2 yrs/Bachelor's) utilizing Solidworks or Autodesk Inventor CAD software to create solid models and engineering drawings; using ERP system to create and edit BOM's, and create engineering change notices; developing presentations for internal and external stakeholders regarding product improvement projects; and analyzing solid models for structural strength utilizing FEA.
