DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Semi-Skilled Laborer, you will be responsible for the duties of a tradesman's helper in the construction and maintenance of various buildings, grounds, and public works projects. You will work alone, assist a skilled trades worker, or be a lead worker for a small crew of manual workers performing routine tasks. Your duties will include maintaining the cleanliness of the buildings and surrounding areas and landscaping duties including mowing grass and maintaining shrubs and trees. In this position, you will perform minor carpentry, plumbing, roofing, or electrical tasks. You can expect to use and maintain the tools of the trade. You will work under the direct supervision of the Trades Foreman or the supervisor's designee, with technical direction from the trades staff in the absence of the designee. - Full-time, limited-term employment. Term will last up to 6 months.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This may change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid PA non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
