The Senior Coordinator will contribute to this vision by providing support for, and participating in, key processes and programs that sustain an office-wide focus on collaboration, efficiencies and metrics-based outcomes. Through the provision of administrative support, the Senior Coordinator will be a part of creating our evolution into a perpetually campaign-ready, donor-centered, leading industry program to support City of Hope's mission. In pursuit of this outcome, we are committed to growing careers within the Office of Philanthropy to attract and retain the most talented professionals in the country, and excel as a highly collaborative, efficient and creative team.

Specifically, under the direction of the [Senior Executive Director and Senior Directors of Development], the incumbent will provide clerical support to the team, with an emphasis on project-based work, as follows: Training other coordinators; Support front-line fundraisers in maintaining an up-to-date prospect portfolio, upwards of 100 prospects; support department and donor-initiated cultivation and fundraising events; all pledge agreement work is done by this position, process pledge payments, send pledge reminders for the Office of Philanthropy, maintain fundraiser calendars.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Supports front-line fundraisers in maintaining an up-to-date prospect portfolio, including, but not limited to, entering contact reports, updating metric information, and tracking metric progress.
  • Supports department and donor-initiated cultivation and fundraising events. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing invitation lists, tracking rsvps, and tracking income and expenses.
  • Maintain fundraiser calendars: schedule meetings and assist with meeting preparation and follow up.
  • Creates pledge agreement drafts, process pledge payments, send pledge reminders for the Office of Philanthropy.
  • Participate in meetings, search committees, task forces and other special projects as requested.
  • Maintains a positive image when dealing with executive staff, donors, prospects, fundraisers and other City of Hope employees.
  • Practices a high level of integrity and honesty in maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, accounting, or business administration or other related field.
  • Experience may substitute for subject area requirements.
  • 5+ years of administrative experience with exposure to fundraising and non-profit systems. Experience in a complex medical or academic development setting encouraged.
