Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a seeking a dynamic Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to lead our talent acquisitions activities at BigBear.ai. You will manage an established team, organize our project portfolio, assist in growth and BD efforts and provide staffing metrics and insight to leadership while working closely with the VP of HR for high visibility corporate positions. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented person who is passionate about the mission, invested and proactive in the success of our TA Specialists and enjoys collaborating across the BigBear team, touching everything at the company related to talent. Position can be fully remote on the east coast of the United States, with proximity Northern Virginia.
What you will do
- Manage and lead the daily operations of the Talent Acquisition team (direct supervision of the staff, assignment and ongoing assessment of work and team bandwidth, schedules, day-to-day workflow, etc)
- Analyze team's priorities and open positions to identify areas where assistance, creativity, or problem-solving are needed and subsequently propose solutions
- Own the hiring process, facilitating process improvement and communication of process changes
- Identify and propose short and long-term TA goals or objectives for the company to support and achieve strategic business goal
- Serve as company POC for all things talent acquisition
- Perform full life cycle recruiting for complicated and high visibility corporate and executive hires
- Provide Ad Hoc recruiting support to BigBear.ai's diverse project portfolio
- Partner effectively and strategically with Hiring Managers to understand their hiring needs, identify position requirements, and fill openings in a timely manner
- Seek new, creative methods for identifying and attracting talent
- Communicate proactively with Hiring Managers on the status of their open roles
- Provide oversight and ensure accuracy and compliance on all external and internal Job Postings
- Oversee offer process, auditing documentation, compliance and approvals
- Enforce and provide guidance on BigBear.ai's Compensation Management System
- Administer company-wide training on Hiring Process, Interviewing and other staffing related processes
- Serve as ATS Administrator, maintaining and updating the system to align with team needs
- Strive to provide a highly effective and positive experience for candidates and managers alike, by maintaining a high level of integrity, credibility, and skilled communications
- Manage the flow of all applicants via company's applicant tracking system in compliance with OFCCP guidelines
- Assist with proposal activities such as data calls and pricing strategies
- Assist with internal mobility, assisting managers in finding new roles for existing employees within the company and provide support with transition as needed
- Provide leadership with summary of staffing data, metrics and priorities on a weekly basis, to maintain effective communication and alignment of open needs
- Ensure policies, procedures, and TA programs or initiatives are consistently administered, aligned with organizational goals and are in compliance with professional standards, state and federal standards regulatory requirements and employment laws.
What you need to have
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent work experience) and at least 6 years of relevant experience managing a team of at least 10 professionals.
- Proven experience in a TA Management Role working in GovCon, specifically supporting the DoD and IC agencies.
- Proven experience supporting recruiting activities both CONUS and OCONUS
- Proven understanding of multiple levels of Security Clearances
- Expert in life-cycle recruiting, from requirements analysis to hiring, to include understanding real job needs at a technical and results level
- Expertise in proactive sourcing to include leveraging job boards, CRM, ATS, career fairs, and social media, among other methods, to maximize candidate quality and personal productivity
- Proven ability to interact effectively with all levels of candidates, management and leadership
- Experience managing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); expereince with ICIMS preferred
- Proven ability to build effective networks and relationships to identify and recruit outstanding passive candidates and maintain a strong pipeline of talent
- Proven ability to add strategic impact and influence with the hiring decisions, to include taking initiative on new recruiting methodology and creative approaches to hiring
- Must be flexible and be able to multi-task, work in the gray area when needed, prioritize and operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Self-starter
- Familiarity with Compensation Management Systems
- Strong organizational, communication (both written and verbal) and networking skills
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaborate as part of a team.
What we'd like you to have
- Experience Administering iCIMS or as an iCIMS super user
- The ability to obtain and maintain a clearance, if necessary.
