Description

We seek a detail-oriented Web Operations Administrator to safeguard our web platforms, optimize user experiences, and support development teams. You'll manage user permissions, ensure web application security and quality, and test web apps and websites for bugs until resolved.

What you'll do:



  • User and Security Administration:

    • Administer user permissions for custom web applications in close collaboration with the Product Development team
    • Manage user accounts and permissions across WordPress websites, WP Engine hosting dashboards, and the Malcare service in collaboration with website developers
    • Monitor and triage security alerts from the Malcare malware service, ensuring timely communication and escalation to the appropriate developers for necessary action


  • Quality Assurance Testing:

    • Monitor and manage incoming reported bugs, prioritizing and assigning them to the appropriate developers for resolution.
    • Manage and perform manual quality assurance testing for custom web applications and WordPress websites in close collaboration with their developers.


  • Compliance and Configuration:

    • Implement and update marketing promotional rules and configurations within relevant systems, adhering to legal updates and guidelines.
    • Gather, analyze, and report on accessibility metrics provided by website developers, ensuring compliance with accessibility standards.




What you'll bring:



  • Basic understanding of HTML for troubleshooting and content management.
  • Basic understanding of web application quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and platforms quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing user permissions, security alerts, and bugs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and effective collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret user complaints, reproduce their reported bugs, and resolve technical issues.
  • Proactive approach to learning new technologies and problem-solving.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.


Ideal Experience:



  • Familiarity with WordPress, WP Engine, and Malcare platforms (or a strong aptitude to learn quickly).
  • Familiarity with web hosting environments (e.g., WP Engine) and server management concepts.
  • Knowledge of domain management and DNS settings.
  • 2+ years of experience managing user accounts and permissions across various platforms.
  • Understanding of security best practices for web applications and user data.
  • Experience with security monitoring tools (e.g., Malcare) and incident response.
  • Experience with bug management systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field preferred, or comparable work experience.


This role will have an annual salary of $77,000 - $82,000.
