Strategic Planning Specialist

This is a 6-month, full-time (40 hours/week), hybrid contract role located in Culver City, CA.


Summary:
We're looking for a Strategic Planning Specialist to join the Services External Marketing team and support innovative campaigns across major sports properties. This role helps drive awareness and customer acquisition for our organization's suite of services through data-informed marketing strategies. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to bring creative, integrated media plans to life and ensure campaigns are optimized for performance and brand impact.

Job Description:
In this role, you will support two senior strategists in developing and executing integrated media strategies for sports-specific campaigns.
You'll partner with media teams, marketing leads, creative strategists, and analysts to develop and manage campaigns ranging from regional promotions to national brand awareness efforts. This includes creating media briefs, reviewing and consolidating plans, and presenting to stakeholders.
You will also assist in campaign optimizations, understand media specs, and ensure smooth implementation across social, digital partnerships, audio, CTV, print, and OOH channels-supporting the broader Services External Marketing team's success.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in media planning and strategy (agency experience a plus)
- Passion for marketing strategy and cross-channel planning, especially within sports marketing
- Proficient in syndicated research tools (e.g., MRI/Simmons, comScore), social listening platforms, and measurement solutions
- Familiar with integrated media including digital, social, OOH, TV, print, and more
- Skilled in collaborating with media, analytics, creative, and data teams to create audience-driven strategies
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, fast-paced environments, and stakeholder feedback
- Strong written and verbal communication with exceptional attention to detail
- Creative, analytical thinker with strong presentation skills and an understanding of media specs, trafficking, and reporting

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field
- Background in media planning, integrated marketing strategy, or sports marketing
- Experience with both performance and brand-driven KPIs across multiple media channels


The pay for this W-2 position ranges from $60.00-$65.00 per hour
This position may be eligible for benefits such as PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements
