From your PASSION to ours As the world's largest dairy producer, Lactalis relies on the efficiency of its Distribution Operations. As the Senior Director of Warehousing, you will drive financial performance and operational excellence across a large distribution network comprised of Lactalis-owned, dedicated operator, and third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses. Responsibilities include all elements of warehousing service, cost, 3rd Party Logistics (3PL) relationship management, inventory integrity, and performance management. You must be a skilled multitasker, have strong interpersonal communication skills, as well as financial and systems aptitude. The individual is expected to challenge the status quo and seek continuous improvements in the network. The individual will lead a team of Directors and support staff to ensure end goals are met. This position is a hands-on role that will require a significant investment in the development of processes and procedures, hiring and training the right staff, organizing the warehouse function, and helping the organization develop a world-class experience for our customers. As this is a shared service function, the individual is expected to treat all the BU teams as internal customers and provide services in a collaborative manner. From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: * Provide strategic leadership for a nationwide network of 3PL-operated warehouses, overseeing performance, compliance, and alignment with business growth and customer service objectives. * Lead and develop a team of senior warehousing professionals to foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. * Develop and execute long-range plans for network design, capacity planning, automation, and systems integration to support evolving supply chain needs. * Develop and execute the end-to-end warehousing integration strategy for a major new business line with accelerated shelf-life demands-balancing speed, service, and scalability across the national 3PL network * Lead daily warehousing activities across multiple operations in different geographic regions of the USA, including providing leadership to managers, quality assurance, inventory control, and operations staff * Responsible for developing and managing across a nationwide warehousing network. * Meet regularly with the warehousing management team to review and manage Key Performance Indicators. * Assure capacity to support business volume fluctuations, while managing a large budget and service requirements. * Work closely with the transportation team to bring efficiency and productivity across the network. * Responsible for managing the food safety and quality of the products in the network. * Travel is required in this role. Supervisory Responsibilities: The incumbent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of warehousing team in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education * Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Warehousing, or Supply Chain Management required; * MBA degree is preferred; or equivalent experience to include a minimum of fifteen (15) years of job-related experience Experience * 15+ years Management experience required * Proven track record leading large-scale, complex refrigerated warehouse operations and 3PL networks across multiple geographies. * Experience in Food Industry preferred Certifications and specific knowledge * Excellence with warehousing management, including: people, processes, budgets, facilities, systems, and service providers * Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff, directly and indirectly, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. * Fluency in budgeting and measuring financial and operational performance. * Working knowledge of SAP preferred. * Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills * Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects * Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices; including proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives * Attention to detail Competencies: * Strategic Supply Chain Leadership * 3PL & Partner Management * Financial & Budgetary Acumen * Network Optimization & Scalability * Cross-Functional Collaboration * Change & Transformation Leadership * Operational Execution in High-Velocity environments Salary Description
$170,000 - $200,000 annual
