Description

Markon's partner company is seeking an experienced Cyber SME to support an Intelligence Customer.



Responsibilities

    Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in cyber operations, translating end-user needs into actionable requirements for developers and engineers.
  • Collaborate with geographically distributed teams to support the development and enhancement of cybersecurity solutions.
  • Apply deep understanding of application development and network protocols to advise on system design and security integration.
  • Ensure cybersecurity best practices are embedded throughout the system lifecycle.
  • Provide technical expertise in telecommunications systems and commercial technologies.
  • Support project efforts with up to 15% travel as needed for coordination, testing, or deployment activities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in cyber operations, systems development, or network engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience translating user needs into system requirements.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and enterprise/commercial technologies.
  • Proficiency in telecommunications systems and architectures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting federal or intelligence community cybersecurity efforts.
  • Familiarity with agile development environments and secure DevOps practices.
  • Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CCNA.


Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Yr.

The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
