Alternative Capital Markets (ACM)

Alternative Capital Markets is a global team with 60+ alternative investment professionals across eight offices (New York, Albany, Dallas, London, Zurich, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shenzhen), responsible for over $120B+ in AUS, serving institutions, foundations, family offices, high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals. ACM is the architect of the Wealth Alternatives platform including private equity, growth / venture capital, private credit, private real estate, hedge funds, co-investments and impact private investing. These offerings include AM Private, XIG, and third-party external investment strategies, as well as differentiated private company access via both internal and external referrals. ACM's full-service capital markets business covers the entire lifecycle of an alternative investment, from investment sourcing to client solutions, as well as a new discretionary offering enabling programmatic platform access, an in-house liquidity platform for clients (qualified matching service, or QMS), and dedicated platform management and strategy.

The Wealth Alternatives Leadership team is responsible for the strategic direction of GS Alternatives for Wealth investors, including the GS Wealth franchise across PWM and Ayco, as well as distribution of alternative investments to Third Party Wealth (TPW) clients. The team oversees key areas for our Wealth Alternatives business, including strategy, management, business projections, risk management, and program delivery to align to the business and firm goals.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL



  • Ensure advisors and clients have the most up-to-date information on the funds they have clients invested in. Responsibilities include:

    • Coordinating up-to-date fund commentary across internal / external fund strategies, innovating on content delivery channels (i.e. PWM Client Web), evolving ACM messaging, and proactively communicating fund activity updates.
    • Systematizing the single asset commentary.
    • Facilitating semi-annual client update calls on active managers. If externally recorded, managing filesharing process with GPs. Then, ensuring calls are being posted to Client Web, ACM website, and the PWM system.
    • Introducing substantial improvements to client materials around alternative investments.
    • Partner with engineering and product on the "Fund Catalog" build-out, which is a unified hub for teams to access information surrounding ACM platform offerings.
    • Boost the accuracy of cash flow assumption estimates per manager and determine a more structured approach for gathering cash flow predictions from GPs to enhance estimates for teams.

  • Other responsibilities include:

    • Improving the clarity of information around ACM platform performance.
    • Quarterly report monitoring through ensuring GPs have uploaded quarterly reports and facilitating sign-off on co-mingled fund reporting.
    • Daily flows maintenance responsibilities including: mapping of new funds and keeping track of direct orders.



SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR



  • Bachelors Degree or Higher
  • Good understanding of financial markets and investment instruments
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent client service skills, with the ability to translate client and team needs into meaningful deliverables
  • Strong ability to multi-task, with an ability to manage multiple projects with different deadlines
  • Self-starter, with ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment and across group functions
  • Solid work ethic, motivation level, and strong attention to detail
  • SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 (must be obtained within 3 months)
