Overview of this Position:

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the operations of the maintenance department during assigned shift. Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed. Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. Develops maintenance procedures and schedules. Maintain proper function of utilities and manufacturing equipment. Oversee the maintenance team's duties and expectations. Assure proper maintenance coverage for assigned shift(s).

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent. (Associates degree desired).
  • Mechanic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical knowledge & aptitude required along with an understanding of preventive maintenance programs.
  • 3+ years' experience in maintenance field or in related area is desired. Lesser years required if relevant work experience is in FDA regulated (food/pharma) environment.
  • 3 years previous leadership experience in the maintenance field required.
  • Experience with the troubleshooting of PLCs is required.
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience and expertise in aseptic manufacturing of regulated products with a thorough understanding of cGMP, FDA guidelines and multinational regulatory standards is preferred.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Manage and direct workflow.
  • Supervise and coach assigned maintenance team.
  • Oversee adequate maintenance coverage to support operations
  • Work with maintenance manager and team to achieve a strategic aspect of inspecting safety of operations equipment, ensuring compliance with standards, and maintaining efficient production areas.
  • Train new Maintenance Technicians as needed.
  • Evaluate performance and provide feedback.
  • Oversee and monitor employee's attendance and schedules.
  • Identify and apply career advancement opportunities.
  • Assist with resolving employee issues and dispute as needed.
  • Meet with planner/scheduler to coordinate PMs.
  • Oversee daily maintenance routines.
  • Communicate with and escort outside contractors.
  • Report findings and conditions to Maintenance Manager when necessary.
  • Ensure all WOs are completed within the specified time.
  • Always maintain facilities and equipment in audit ready conditions.
  • Oversee proper maintenance coverage with manager's approval.
