Your role and responsibilities
Are you a dynamic and experienced professional with a passion for managing tradeshows, webinars, and industry events? We are looking for someone like you to join our team and help drive engagement and brand awareness. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in our ABB Drives Division in New Berlin, WI. Position Overview: As the Tradeshow and Events Manager, you will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications - Drive Products, US. This hybrid role (#LI - Hybrid) offers the perfect blend of remote and on-site work, allowing you to thrive in a flexible environment. You will be mainly accountable for: *Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of tradeshows, including booth layout, logistics, staffing, and on-site management, developing tradeshow budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maximizing ROI and negotiating contracts with vendors, suppliers, and venues to secure the best terms and conditions. *Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to align tradeshow strategies with overall business objectives, and analyze post-event data and provide detailed reports on performance, attendee engagement, and areas for improvement. *Plan and execute both in-person and virtual industry events, such as conferences, product launches, and networking events and webinars. *Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, and virtual event platforms and develop promotional strategies to drive webinar registrations and attendance.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in tradeshow management, event planning, or a similar role.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and webinar platforms.
- Analytical thinker, problem solver, able to look at metrics, data and ROI.
- Ability to travel as required for tradeshows and events.
- Candidate must already possess a work authorization that would allow them to work for ABB in the United States.
