Production Manager Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily, weekly, monthly production expectations.
- Monitor daily tool production for Ames Service & TapeTech.
- Assign manpower tasks based on production demand.
- Monitor and maintain parts inventory requirements, flow, controls & budget.
- Monitor and manage tool inventory by work type, finished goods levels and demand.
- Collect, monitor and maintain scrapping or defects for inventory (tools & parts) in your area.
- Maintain in Slack all communication and data reports for area.
- Manage, monitor and drive 5S initiatives and principles in all areas of production.
- Generate, monitor and manage daily 30-minute improvement projects.
- Monitor and maintain supplies, hand tools, fixtures, machinery & equipment in area.
- Manage production processes, priorities, work assignments and inventory methods to meet production schedules, customer orders and cost controls.
- Maintain charts, spreadsheets and reporting related to work in your area; efficiency, labor, costs, inventory, standard operations, training schedules, cross-training charts, etc.
- Oversee any maintenance issues or improvements required in your area.
- Plan, execute and report on monthly, weekly and daily production needs.
- Evaluate and track employee performance.
- Schedule training and cross training of all employees.
- Enforce safety rules and guidelines.
- Ensure accuracy of part & tool inventories.
- Maintain proper budget requirements for labor, parts and supplies.
- Execute assigned manufacturing and inventory management functions within MAS500 ERP system.
- Participate in the "Lean/Continuous Improvement" initiatives of the Organization.
- Evaluate and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates.
- Prepare composite reports from individual reports of subordinates.
- Train employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Organization and cleanliness of facility, work areas and work benches.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment 80% of the time.
