  • We are hiring immediately for a full time FOOD UNIT LEAD (GEM) position.
  • Location: Boeing - 998 Logan Avenue N, Renton, WA 98057 Note: online applications accepted only.
  • Schedule: Full time schedule. Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 9:00pm. More details upon interview.
  • Requirement: Previous leadership/supervisory, food service, and hospitality experience are required.

Job Summary

Summary: Associates in this position will learn how to greet, qualify, recommend, and assist guests throughout their dining experience start to finish. GEM will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Food Service Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the dining experience is enjoyable through cheerful behavior and carefully following established procedures for merchandising, cleanliness, program standards & service.
  • Greets every guest that associate encounters.
  • Keeps counters clean and organized, not allowing clutter behind the serving line.
  • Wipes tables & chairs and sweeps in dining area to ensure clean and pleasant dining experience for our guests.
  • Rotates and stocks the refrigerator.
  • Stocks and resets the cafeteria throughout, and at the end of each shift.
  • Familiarizes themselves with current promotions and discounts to speak to each.
  • Joins pre-service to learn daily offerings and provide input and constructive observation.
  • Learns Boeing initiatives to provide support to cafe operations to align with client expectations.
  • Will monitor our feedback forums for opportunities and actionable positive or negative comments.
  • Will train on point-of-sale systems to be able to assist guests through the checkout process & answer any questions
  • Will be working with management on monthly and quarterly business reviews to relay observations, milestones, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of fire safety procedures in the event of fire or other emergency.
  • Promotes a clean, safe and neat environment for guests, staff and self.
  • Works with cafe personnel + management to address concerns and support key operational responsibilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • With minimal supervision, must be detail-oriented, observant, and proficient in problem solving. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work cohesively with managers, team members and guests. Flexibility, patience, enthusiasm, & empathy toward guests & fellow team members. Good personal hygiene habits are required to comply with Department of Health practices and regulations. Must maintain uniforms in a clean and neat condition.
  • Prior hospitality experience is helpful, but not required.
  • High School education or equivalent preferred.

Working Conditions:

Clean, well lit, climate controlled environment. Subject to physical emotional stress associated with normal food service environments.
