Summary
The Revenue Operations Associate Director has oversight of the core operational functions of the revenue cycle including Client Financial Terms Management, Billing, Client Accounting, Electronic Billing, and Accounts Receivable. The Associate Director ensures efficient and seamless operations throughout the revenue cycle while also driving continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices. The associate director supports the leaders and teams of each function who are charged with the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant revenue operations across the Firm. The ideal candidate has a strong background in revenue cycle operations, as well as excellent communication, collaboration and leadership skills to develop, coach, and empower a talented team of revenue professionals.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction, guidance, and support to the revenue operations functions, ensuring alignment with the Firm's revenue related goals and initiatives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators, metrics and benchmarks for the revenue operations functions, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Work with functional leaders to develop annual goals and objectives, including operating goals, system enhancements and process improvements.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, communication, and accountability across the revenue operations functions and with other internal and external stakeholders, such as lawyers, clients, vendors, and auditors.
- Conduct regular meetings with revenue operations' leaders to proactively identify and address operational issues and challenges.
- Work with functional leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation, leveraging best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with leaders of other revenue functions such as Pricing, Conflicts New Business and Revenue Management to ensure alignment and coordination of revenue cycle operations with business objectives and client needs.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and controls for the revenue operations functions, ensuring compliance with Firm policies and client guidelines.
- Manage and resolve complex or escalated issues related to revenue operations, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution and escalation as appropriate.
- Develop and implement training and career development programs for the revenue operations staff, ensuring they have the skills, knowledge, and competencies to perform their roles effectively and efficiently.
- Support the professional development of the revenue operations leadership team through coaching, mentoring, goal setting and the provision of timely feedback.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives related to revenue operations, representing the function's interests and perspectives.
Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors, including, but not limited to, the relevant market, skills, experience, and education of the selected candidate. Target Salary Range
$195,000 - $235,000 if located in Illinois
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field; advanced degree or certification preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in revenue operations, preferably in a law Firm or professional services environment
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership or management experience, with proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse and high-performing team
- Strong knowledge of revenue operations processes, systems, and best practices, including client financial terms management, billing, client accounting, electronic billing, and accounts receivable
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls
