- Maintains deep expertise in fiduciary, investment, tax, and other related wealth issues and employs sound fiduciary judgement

- Designs and delivers sophisticated fiduciary solutions, using relationship team model, to high-net-worth clients with complex financial needs.
- Fulfills Key's fiduciary responsibilities, ensuring retention of business and reputation
- Advises Relationship Managers (RMs) and other partners on internal fiduciary issues

Trust Administration
- Administers complex trust (ex: Special/Supplemental Needs Trust, Private Foundation, Trust Under Agreement, Trust Under Will, etc.) accounts with a proactive, disciplined, consistent and comprehensive approach

- Proactively analyzes and interprets legal instruments including identification of power holders and dispositive provisions, and account activities to determine duties and responsibilities of Bank as Trustee

- Discretionary distribution analysis and documentation of decision making

- Interpret investment decisions made by portfolio manager

- Income taxation of grantor, simple, and complex trusts, who is taxed on income and/or principal transactions, final year tax distributive items

- Annual gift planning for non-charitable gifts

- Estate planning ideas appropriate to situation

- Estate taxation of assets held in trust, estate valuation rules

- Generation skipping planning, including distinction between direct skip, taxable termination and taxable distribution

- Uniform Principal and Income Act, including analysis of total return distributions

- Executes prioritized pro-active client contacts and/or participates in pre/post call activities as a SME for assigned trust accounts

- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with other team members/partners to ensure high quality and timely administration of assigned accounts

- Retains and deepens the relationship with a client and/or outside counsel, including the next generation, and identifies new opportunities to expand/right channel the relationship (ex: Future Fees, Referrals)

Client Management
- Works with Relationship Managers to retain and expand existing client relationships
- Reviews client estate planning and trust documents and advises RMs, attorneys, etc. on recommended changes
- Anticipates and advises clients on evolving financial goals and objectives
- Executes, through the Comprehensive Practice Management process, prioritized pro- active client contacts, per service standards

Compliance
- Maintains compliance with all internal policies and procedures, as well as, with regulatory and legal requirements
-Mitigates risk by servicing accounts in compliance with KeyBank policies and procedures, as well as with regulatory and legal requirements

- Assumes accountability for all delegated work on assigned accounts.

Sales
- Meets or exceeds individual sales goals and contributes significantly to attaining team sales goals.
- Participates in relationship reviews as fiduciary expert on high-net-worth teams.
- Identifies and prioritizes trust and other opportunities to deepen relationships and enhance revenue.
- In collaboration with team members, presents ideas and solutions to clients and prospects.
- Participates with other team members or leads in the closing of new business.
- Participates in professional associations to demonstrate professional credibility and expand COI relationships.

Reputation
- Meets and engages with clients, prospective clients, attorneys, accountants, consultants, and co- fiduciaries.
- Fosters close business relationships to develop client loyalty and new business opportunities.
- Creates and executes on opportunities to showcase as subject- matter- expert presenter.
- Enhance Key's reputation with high-net-worth individuals and their influencers.

Leadership
- Serves as on- site business lead for urgent matters in cases where functional management is remote.

- Leads by example and demonstrates client focus and teamwork towards both clients and KeyBank employees; provides back-up to other team members
- Supports business objectives through active advocacy and behavioral adoption.
- Promotes professional team atmosphere that encourages open expression of ideas and opinions leading to successful sales environment.
- Develops and maintains knowledge of Key's investment process and results.
- Participates in KeyCorp's commitment to community.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 5 years of personal trust administration experience or equivalent work experience.

- Undergraduate degree in business related field or equivalent experience.

- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal).

- Strong customer focus.

- Ability to work as part of sales and client servicing team.

- Working knowledge of investments/securities.

- Progress towards completion of Cannon Trust Schools I, II and III or equivalent knowledge from other industry training or equivalent experience.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $61,000 to $94,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
