Description:

Metronome has an exciting opportunity for a senior Developer to assist with the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of mission critical systems that enable NGA's Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) mission collecting sciences, technology and tradecraft measuring and modeling the Globe to provide three-dimensional accuracy of every point in, on, or above the Earth.

Responsibilites:

The primary duties will be to support the development of mission critical capabilities migrated to modern, cloud-based environments, with utilization of DevSecOps technologies for deployment automation, service-oriented architectures, and modern code management tools and programming languages. The responsibilities involve architecting and developing software for an application modernization project for the customer. As a software engineer, you will work with the mission to transform existing enterprise software into modern cloud-native applications to reduce the time to launch and increase release frequency, including code development approaches to modernize the government customer's tools stack and deploy them to AWS cloud.

Qualifications:

  • Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services).
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with relational and non-relational database systems such as Amazon RDS, Postgres
  • Knowledge of web-based architectures and technologies, such as web servers, HTTP, SSL
  • Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g. S3, ECS)
  • Experience programming in VB.NET , C# and C+
  • Experience supporting development testing
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and workflow
  • Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices
  • Understanding of custom code development/reviews
  • Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Typically requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD
  • AWS certification (e.g. Developer, DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect)
  • Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies
