Japanese Translator

Staffmark is hiring a Japanese Translator for a top automotive parts manufacturer in South Charleston, OH. If you're fluent in Japanese and English with a background in manufacturing or translation, this is a great opportunity to grow your career with a global leader.

Pay: $55,000/year

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

As a Japanese Translator, you'll play a key role in facilitating communication across departments, supporting technical translation, and ensuring smooth collaboration between U.S. and Japanese team members, managers, visitors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Translate documents (technical, legal, production-related) between Japanese and English
• Provide verbal interpretation in meetings, conference calls, presentations, and on the production floor
• Support communication for Japanese and U.S. associates during daily activities (emails, calls, letters)
• Assist other departments and interpret for guests, customers, and suppliers as needed
• Work closely with supervisors to align priorities and report progress

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Associate's degree or 1-3 years of related experience
• Fluent in Japanese and English (written and verbal)
• Experience in manufacturing or technical translation preferred
• Skilled in simultaneous/consecutive interpreting
• Confident speaker in meetings and on the production floor
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills
• Able to walk on concrete floors and lift up to 30 lbs
• Flexible with occasional early or extended hours for international meetings
