We're looking for an experienced Principal Competitive Intelligence Analyst to join our Strategic Development team. Reporting to the Director of Competitive Intelligence, you will be responsible for:



  • Leading competitive analysis specific to Data Protection with strong knowledge of markets, technologies, and relevant trends
  • Delivering insights on competitors' solutions, strategies, and positioning in SASE/SSE, Data Protection, Zero Trust, and related areas
  • Providing strategic sales support for Data Protection, leveraging expertise to position Zscaler solutions against key competitors
  • Creating and delivering sales enablement content such as battlecards, feature comparisons, training materials, and roadmap insights
  • Conducting competitive research and providing actionable recommendations for sales strategies, product development, and marketing campaigns


What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications):



  • 10+ years of experience in a pre-sales, sales engineering, or solution architect role working for a cybersecurity vendor or customer
  • 5+ years of experience working with Data Protection technologies, including CASB, DLP, SSPM, DSPM, for a vendor or customer
  • 3+ years of experience working with SASE/SSE and Zero Trust technologies, platforms, and markets for a vendor or customer
  • 3+ years of experience working in a competitive intelligence, technical marketing, or comparable role


What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):



  • Ability to analyze Data Protection markets, products, and competitors, and create differentiated positioning and messaging that resonates with diverse stakeholders (customers, analysts, etc.)
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional Competitive Intelligence projects and initiatives, with strong organizational skills and ability to deliver high-value strategic outcomes
  • 3+ years of experience building and testing SaaS products in a lab

Zscaler's salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range
$161,000 $230,000 USD
