This position reports to the Lead Operator.

What you will do:




  • Comply with all Safety, Environmental and Operating Standards
  • Report any Safety concerns to the Lead Operator as soon as they are identified
  • Assist Lead Operator in an effort to operate Lines 1 and 2 equipment and systems
  • Ensure line 1 and 2 equipment is operating at maximum efficiency
  • Monitor and Operate computer-based control systems and equipment for malfunction or breakdown potential and respond accordingly to minimize downtime and or equipment failure
  • Perform general maintenance such as screen changes, filter changes, and spray nozzle replacements
  • Conduct rounds throughout the production units, record findings and report to Lead Operator
  • Perform product quality checks as required
  • Operate small mobile equipment (forklift, frontend loader, etc.)
  • Provide coverage for additional plant positions when required upon being trained and qualified
  • Moderate to heavy workloads on a periodic basis
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Lead Operator


What you will bring:




  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred
  • 1 -3 years of related experience preferred in a progressively responsible role with experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of hand and power tools
  • Experience with Distributive Control Systems and or PC controls systems preferred.
  • Effective communicationwith the ability to be a self-starter and interact with plant personnel on a daily basis
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
