Job Overview

The Inside Product Support Sales Representative (IPSSR) is responsible for revenue growth and customer satisfaction of our Product Support Department. As a IPSSR you will work closely with the entire Product Support Department to create quotes and estimates for service work and maintenance agreements. The IPSSR will communicate daily with customers along with the Product Support Department. This position ensures that all related activities are conducted with the highest standard to optimize our customer's satisfaction.

Scope

The IPSSR Department is responsible for $10 to $15 million in quotation annually. The scope for the IPSSR position is to insure a minimum 15% growth annually. The expectation for the position is a competitive quote win rate of greater than 70%. The Komatsu region has over 100,000 products that the position will monitor daily. Working in this fast-paced environment requires quotes to be turned around in less than 24 hours.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Parts, Service, and Sales to ensure all customers receive a good customer experience.
  • Address problems and communicate efficiently with customers and/or service department to a timely resolution.
  • Maintain equipment population records by customer follow-up and tracking lost sales.
  • Generate and submit written quotes developed from machine inspections.
  • Generate new parts and service opportunities.
  • Coordinate shop repairs between the company and the customer.
  • Aggressively promote all current service and parts programs while utilizing telephone sales.
  • Tracking and scheduling of Komatsu Care service and OSS agreements.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Must be able to apply the seven principles of the KOMATSU Way to their everyday work activities where applicable.
  • High school degree & some college preferred.
  • Construction equipment and industry knowledge.
  • Knowledge of software and technology applications preferred.

Additional Information

Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays a total compensation range between $65,000 and $85,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
