Responsibilities
Arcfield seeks a dynamic, results-driven Senior Director of Business & Pricing Strategy to lead its enterprise-wide Pricing Team and Pricing Strategy function. This executive will serve as a trusted strategic advisor and organizational thought leader, responsible for shaping, implementing, and governing pricing strategies that capture excellence and long-term growth objectives. This role demands a high degree of cross-functional collaboration and executive engagement. The selected individual will integrate critical inputs from Corporate Finance, Program Finance, Contracts, Procurement, Business Development, P&L leadership and C-suite executives to develop and implement competitive, compliant, and compelling pricing strategies across the enterprise. An ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, manage through complexity and ambiguity, independently generate pricing strategies to advise profit & loss (P&L) leaders, and influence across a matrixed environment. A bias for action, sound business judgement, and a deep knowledge of federal contracting regulations and cost modeling practices are essential. Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all pricing activities, including the development of compliant cost volumes, innovative pricing approaches, and integrated cost models for high-value proposals and portfolio-shaping initiatives.
- Drive the creation of high-impact pricing artifacts and strategic analysis products, including but not limited to Green Team briefings, Excel-based pricing models, white papers, and comprehensive staffing constructs.
- Partner with capture teams, functional stakeholders, and executive sponsors to shape price strategies that are aligned with business objectives, responsive to customer needs, and competitive in the federal acquisition space.
- Serve as a primary author or strategic reviewer for complex proposal pricing strategies, including analyses that incorporate Price-to-Win (PTW), Price-to-Succeed (PTS), and cost-risk mitigation frameworks.
- Establish and maintain robust pricing governance practices and tools that ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance across all pricing efforts.
- Manage external pricing and BOE consultants to enhance pricing depth and strengthen the company's value proposition in key pursuits.
- Direct the integration of material and subcontractor pricing inputs in collaboration with Procurement, Real Estate, and Contracts teams to ensure comprehensive and accurate cost estimates.
- Oversee and validate the creation of compliant Basis of Estimate (BOE) documentation in coordination with SMEs and project leadership.
- Lead, mentor, and develop pricing professionals and matrixed proposal teams to build organizational capability and maturity in pricing strategy.
Qualifications
Requiried
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 15+ years of combined experience in Pricing, Program Finance, Business Development, or related disciplines. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Extensive knowledge and application of federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS, CAS) and contract types, including FFP, T&M, and CPFF.
- Demonstrated success leading pricing strategy on major federal proposals or high-stakes portfolio-shaping initiatives.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills, with a proven ability to translate complex pricing and financial data into clear strategic insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including modeling, formulas, and pivot tables), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience developing scalable pricing frameworks, tools, and governance models.
- Ability to influence across all levels of the organization and to work under pressure to meet tight proposal deadlines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Strong appreciation for visual storytelling and data-driven business case development.
- MBA, MS in Finance, or equivalent advanced degree in a quantitative or business discipline.
- Background in leading pricing strategy within a federal contractor, particularly within the Defense or Intelligence community.
