Senior Reporter-Equity Capital Markets

International Financing Review, the leader in in-depth coverage of the capital markets, is looking for a reporter to cover the US equity capital markets in New York.

As a member of IFR, you'll have unparalleled exposure to a worldwide readership across our many platforms, from real-time platforms and to highly regarded weekly magazine, and market-leading daily ECM briefing.

The successful candidate will have a chance to join a small but expert team that breaks news, shapes opinion, and provides thought leadership.

The ideal candidate has a keen curiosity about the stock markets and the various stages of capital raising (venture capital/private equity, initial public offering, and follow-on stock sales).

Role Responsibilities

- Write original stories with accuracy and speed in accordance with our journalistic standards.

- Meet daily and weekly deadlines for website, briefing and magazine.

- Cultivate and maintain contacts to break news and provide insight to investors and market professionals.

- Build expertise and knowledge to broaden and deepen coverage.

- Become the person the team and market participants look to as an asset class authority.

Experience and Preferred Qualifications

- Experience producing high-quality journalism including breaking news and analytical features.

- Ability to convey sophisticated ideas in clear and concise prose.

- Experience covering the US stock market is helpful.

- Knowledge of SEC Edgar filing system with proficiency reading through offering prospectuses.
