We are searching for a talented Advanced Practice Practitioner to join the plastic surgery team.

Hours: 24 hours - Part-time

Shift: Days 8A-4:30P - no weekend, holiday or on-call

Location: Dartmouth, MA, Surgery Center, St. Luke's & Charlton Memorial Hospitals

Responsibilities

  • Position reports to the Practice Administrator, Surgical Specialties with a dotted line to the plastic surgeons for which the position supports, perform duties in being responsible for evaluation, care and management of patients in an outpatient clinic setting and/or inpatient setting, including assisting in an OR setting under the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts governance.


Qualifications

  • Physician Assistant: Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required. Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
  • Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Current Massachusetts R.N. registration is required.
  • Nurse Practitioner Certificate/Physician Assistant Certificate is required.
  • First Assist certification with the NP is required upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Over 3 months experience as an NP or PA.
  • NP Massachusetts Nursing License authorization to practice in an expanded role.
  • CME requirements as needed.
  • PA Physician Assistant License authorization to practice.
  • CME requirements as needed.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
