Assistant Coach, Coaching- Women's Soccer

Position Summary: The Women's Soccer Assistant Coach reports to the Women's Soccer Head Coach. The position will assist the Women's Soccer Head Coach with various aspects of the NCAA DII Women's Soccer program; i.e., coaching, recruiting, organizing and coordinating team travel, facilitating camps and clinics, game/practice planning and management, fundraising and academic monitoring. The Women's Soccer Assistant Coach will adhere to RMAC rules, regulations, and NCAA Division II bylaws. In addition, this position will represent MSU Denver in a positive manner and continue to uphold the program's philosophies and the athletic department's core values.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Head Coach in coaching team (practice planning, individual workouts, game strategy, scouting reports, etc.)

  • Assist in developing and implementing training and game plans.

  • Academic Coordinator via study hall, class attendance, class registration and progress towards graduation.

  • Recruiting Coordinator via events (i.e. tournaments, showcases, games and camps) scheduling, organizing unofficial/official visits, tryouts etc.

  • Travel Coordinator via scheduling flights, charter buses, rental vehicles, hotels, meals, training times, etc.

  • Game day liaison with visiting opponents via scheduling training times, providing visitor guide and preparing NCAA Game Rosters.

  • Assist in scouting and video analysis.

  • Assist the head coach in the organization and implementation of fundraising opportunities (including camps and clinics, facility rentals, Rockies 50/50 Raffle, Red & Blue Fund, etc.).

  • Assist in community service projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Previous competitive experience or coaching experience in the specified sport.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree.

  • USSF "C" license or USC National Diploma or equivalent.

  • Goalkeeper coaching experience.

Salary for Announcement
Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience.

The salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $43,000-$46,000.

This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
