Position Overview: The Specialist will provide administrative support performing general administrative tasks such as answering incoming calls and greeting visitors. Additionally, the Specialist will work with a multi-disciplinary team to collect data from systems, prepare case packages by converting word documents to pdf and bookmarking sections, researching policy, and tracking case information using Excel. Essential Functions:
- Answer calls and emails efficiently and courteously providing requested information Forward calls to voicemail if caller requests
- Greet visitors, determine nature of visit and direct or escort visitor to destination
- Schedule appointments and conference rooms, assist with catering
- Helping out in the mailroom as needed
- Receive payment and record receipts for services
- Provide information about establishment such as location of departments, offices, and employees and services
- Transmit information or documents to provided customers, using computer, mail or fax
- Support group of auditors by preparing limited audit steps prior to the auditor's desk/field work
- Manipulate data submitted by hospitals for loading into firm-wide databases
- Communicate with providers on missing data
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2 years' experience in office environment preferred
- 1 year of receptionist and front desk experience preferred
- Basic bookkeeping and reconciling experience preferred
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office software tools, specifically Excel and Word
- Possess strong data entry and typing skills
- Be well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
- Must be a team player who works well with a group
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while fulfilling all obligations
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.
- Strong math and customer service skills
The Team: Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to one of our Managers in the Indianapolis office. Work Style: Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period.
