General Purpose of Job: This position will provide strategic, analytic, and project support for building new physician practices, physician practice acquisitions and growing the business of established SMG practices. In the addition to leading assigned projects, the incumbent will facilitate SMG leaders in monitoring, prioritizing and executing all strategic projects across the medical group. - Project Management
- Monitors project performance (e.g. on time, on budget, within scope and with quality) against plan and provides input and justification for costs and budget impact.
- Provides insight to key stakeholders and project sponsors by developing project goals, setting the prioritization of deliverables, discussing involvement a of business process (e.g. project change management, communication) and facilitating decisions necessary for project delivery
- Develops business plans pertaining to acquiring physician practices and development of new practices/programs
- Ensures the alignment, buy-in, and coordination of diverse project stakeholders by building rapport with stakeholder teams, third party vendors, and management; and clarifying accountability and authority across stakeholders.
- Lead practice acquisitions and integrations, including the legal/financial due diligence process
- Identification, analysis and evaluation of new practice/business opportunities
- Coordination of the implementation of new ventures
- Utilize process improvement, project management, and change leadership methodologies to drive, implement, and sustain process improvements throughout SMG
- Lead SMG strategic initiatives as assigned
- Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, capital investment, acquisition activity, future performance and operating forecasts
- Builds forecasting models and evaluates the projected and actual impact of acquisitions and new ventures.
Job Requirements
Work Experience |
* Minimum of 5 years combined experience in project management and continuous improvement. |
Education |
* Bachelor's Degree in business administration, finance, healthcare administration or related field |

* Ability to work with physicians and executives * Strong interpersonal skills * Strong negotiations skills * Strong analytical skills * Thorough knowledge of physician, hospital and healthcare issues * Ability to build relationships with physicians, leaders, and staff * Excellent project management skills * Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, exhibit initiatives with minimal supervison * Demonstrates ability to use a keyboard as may be required to perform the essential duties of the job. |
