The Human Resouces and Facilities Coordinator provides general administrative support for various functional areas of Human Resources and Facilities in both day-to-day operations, and support for special projects. The HR Coordinator will play an instrumental role in supporting many phases of the employee life cycle.

This position will be based onsite in our downtown Bethesda, MD office, and the employee in this role will be expected to be able to work onsite in our office 3 to 5 days per week. At ASHP, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. The base salary for this position is $60,000-$65,000 and ASHP offers a comprehensive benefits plan. What You'll Be Doing

    Serve as a primary point of contact for the HR team in the office for employees and external visitors to the Human Resource Team
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team including processing packages (up to 50 pounds), deliveries, mail and email on a regular basis
  • Schedule various events including events with the Chief Executive Officer working closely with the Executive Office and assist with event/meeting setup and breakdown as needed.
  • Prepare in-office items for new hires including key fobs, office set-up, and first day items.
  • Administer the anniversary program for ASHP.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Chief HR officer which may include assistance with scheduling meetings, planning logistics for employee meetings, communication with vendors, mailing projects, and providing other support as needed.
  • Provide administrative support for any special projects which may occur throughout the year, such as events/programs, promotion process and wellness programs/events.
  • Provide support for facilities operations, including ordering office supplies (e.g. coffee, utensils, etc.)
  • Assist with coordinating staff events, including conference room/event space setup, placing and managing catering orders and communicating with vendors.
  • Provide support for creating and maintaining HR files as needed.
  • Performs other administrative duties as for various HR projects.
  • Note: this role needs to be able to be in the downtown Bethesda office 3-5 days a week regardless of organization's policy.


What You Bring to ASHP

  • High school diploma or GED; Associates degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Requires two to four years of related work experience in an office setting
  • Direct experience working in a Human Resources department required
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information and matters.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good prioritization and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Proficient attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams).
  • Intermediate software skills in Excel (database entry and management).
