Job Summary: The Director-Supply Chain Management Strategy is responsible for directing, implementing, and measuring all current and future department operations, including, but not limited to implementations, and ongoing education/ training. Seeks to improve supply chain resiliency by building business continuity through risk assessment, collaborative partnerships, and aggregate best practices. Is responsible for ongoing development and reengineering of future state supply chain strategies for the Supply Chain organization. Works with all directors as a team to provide best practice throughout Supply Chain. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field required. Master's Degree in related field preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum five years of supervisory experience in healthcare supply chain required.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to read; write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position. Proficient in MS Office., Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Access. Able to work well as part of a team; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Able to travel as needed between entities (in-state). Must be knowledgeable in current emerging technologies. Must have strong analytical skills. Able to operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; provide leadership; be assertive and consistent in enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions for working with figures and budgets.; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; problem solve; organize and prioritize workload; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
