The Provider Consultant - Quality Liaison plays a pivotal role in supporting our team by ensuring the highest standards of quality and accuracy in our provider-related processes. This position is responsible for reviewing, validating, and conducting root cause analyses on errors identified through our Audit Programs, including Retro Contracts, E2E Audits, and STAT Audits. Additionally, the Provider Data Consultant will perform internal audits, provide coaching to team members, and develop content to educate the team on trending defects and best practices. As the Quality Liaison, this individual will communicate departmental errors and insights across various meeting forums with leaders from different parts of the organization. The ideal candidate will possess solid communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve error patterns effectively.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Error Analysis and Validation:

    • Review and validate errors identified through Retro Contracts, E2E Audits, and STAT Audits
    • Conduct root cause analyses to determine underlying issues contributing to errors
    • Document findings and collaborate with internal stakeholders to address and resolve identified issues


  • Internal Audits and Quality Assurance:

    • Perform regular internal audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and processes
    • Develop and implement audit plans to assess the effectiveness of current procedures
    • Monitor audit outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance quality and efficiency


  • Coaching and Training:

    • Provide coaching and guidance to team members on identifying and preventing quality errors
    • Develop training materials and conduct sessions to educate the team on best practices and trending defects
    • Mentor new and existing team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement


  • Content Creation and Presentation:

    • Create informative content highlighting trending defects, best practices, and quality improvement strategies
    • Present defect findings and remediation actions to wide range of audience including various levels of leadership from within and across the organization
    • Develop reports and dashboards to track quality metrics and progress


  • Communication and Collaboration:

    • Serve as the primary liaison for quality-related discussions across multiple meeting forums
    • Collaborate with leaders and stakeholders from different departments to address and resolve quality issues
    • Facilitate the sharing of quality insights and foster cross-functional collaboration to drive improvements defect findings and remediation actions to various levels of leadership and others


  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify patterns and trends in errors to develop proactive solutions
    • Recommend and implement process enhancements to reduce errors and improve overall quality
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate relevant strategies into team workflows

Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of provider data related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft basic applications (Outlook, Excel, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, etc.)



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 2+ years of Facets experience
  • 1+ years of experience in quality assurance, auditing, or a related provider-facing role
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proven solid organizational and project management abilities

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
