Your Day-to-Day:



  • Responsible forleading the team responsible for the developing and themanaging suppliers who deliver nuclear fuel components to our facility in Columbia, SC.
  • Provide oversite and direction to their team of supplier performance engineers and supplier management specialists.
  • Ensure the correct balance of resources to support the nuclear fuel business unit.
  • Active participation in the recruiting of new talent for long term business needs including interns/co-ops and new hire engineers and technologists.
  • Maintain an aligned Business Unit relationship.
  • Identify business priorities by assessing determining project objectives, execution time, and implementation costs.
  • Manageregional suppliers to deliver required material on-time, meeting the specified quality requirements, at the designed cost.
  • Work with the team to complete supplier selection and development projects on time and on budget.
  • Run and leverage the Supplier SIOP and Supplier Assessment processes to proactively address challenges before they become issues, and to drive continuous improvement.
  • Providemanagement team information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing engineering data and trends. Own performance metrics for regional suppliers and driving to goal.
  • Prepare and implement training and development plans. Assist in developing next generation of Supplier Performance Engineers and Supplier Management Specialists to ensure future WEC bench strength. Support development and mentoring of the team to aid in their technical development, project performance and work satisfaction.
  • Engage with external customers, partners and WEC seniormanagement as required.



Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:



  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical production and manufacturing discipline, or equivalent with business experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience required, 10-15 years typical.
  • Experience managing mechanical engineering teams is preferred.
