MTSI is seeking a Senior level Datalink Engineer who can join our Army Aviation integration team at the customer site Redstone Arsenal (RSA).

Responsibilities

MTSI is seeking a Senior level Datalink Engineer who can join our Army Aviation integration team with experience in MANET and Point-to-Point datalink testing as well as operational experience and knowledge of the challenges to deploy Launched Effects as demanded by the complex FVL Ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface directly with customers and other DOD components as well as product development contractors.
  • Technical review of customer requirements.
  • Evaluates all aspects of performance, to include range, data throughput, data optimization, aerial relay effectiveness, MIL-STD conformance, and messaging conformance.
  • Deliver a comprehensive evaluation of datalink performance and recommendations that support successful integration of future, iteratively adaptable, datalink networks.
  • Operational experience with data link systems and equipment.
  • Develop in depth understanding and working knowledge of applicable current and emerging tactical data link systems, implementation, and operation.
  • Develop in depth understanding and working knowledge of applicable Military Standards such as MIL-STDs 3011, 6016, 6020 and emerging tactical message formats and protocols.
  • Author technical documents and briefings and conduct formal presentations.
  • Travel to other locations, as required, to attend meetings and conduct test events.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an applicable field and at minimum of 10 years of applicable experience is required.
  • Military tactical data links relative to C4ISR operations.
  • Good understanding of basic computer networking.
  • Strong work ethic; Comfortable working in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical experience with MANET and Point-to-Point datalinks.
  • Technical experience in the areas related to tactical data link radios.
  • Experience with Army Aviation Command and Control processes.
  • Experience with tactical data links mission threads.
  • Knowledge of data analysis methods and tools.
  • Able to evaluate tactical communications emerging technologies.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors in relevant field.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
