Role Overview:

This role is responsible for maximizing the distribution of New York Life Group Benefit Solutions (GBS) products through established and emerging brokers and clients. The focus will be on developing and executing strategic initiatives that set GBS apart from the competition. This includes creating strategies, designing, and delivering effective distribution solutions to optimize current revenue streams and developing innovative solutions for holistic and incremental revenue growth over a multi-phase approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute a strategy using performance metrics to drive growth within managed firms.
  • Identify opportunities for significant membership and growth with consulting firms.
  • Implement strategies and governance models with brokers in shared arrangements.
  • Manage the producer channel, optimizing investment dollars and engagement for desired outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with national consultant and brokerage firm leadership to retain and grow assets.
  • Execute new initiatives and enhance current processes to drive growth and earnings.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with sales objectives and priorities.
  • Mentor and develop direct reports and foster productive working relationships across the enterprise.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the employee benefits industry. Sales and/or consulting broker experience is a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop strong customer/producer relationships and aggressive growth strategies.
  • Enterprise thinker with the ability to influence across a matrix environment and develop relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to develop producer strategy and drive value creation.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable managing in a highly competitive, ever-changing industry and communicates optimism and confidence.
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities for optimization and drive change to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations with a structured problem-solving approach.
  • Broad technical understanding of evolving Benadmin and HCM platform players.

Pay Transparency

Salary range:$300,000 -$325,000 (salary + sales incentive)

Overtime eligible:Exempt

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
