Bring your skills to help drive high-quality products that deliver the power of Esri and mapping to Microsoft customers. Our team is responsible for enabling users to create interactive mapping and analysis directly within Microsoft Power Platform applications.

We are looking for someone who wants an opportunity to drive new development in the ArcGIS Power Platform, which consists of ArcGIS for Power BI and ArcGIS Connectors for Power Automate. ArcGIS for Power BI is a custom data visualization in Microsoft Power BI that you can use to bring mapping capabilities to your reports and dashboards. ArcGIS Connectors for Power Automate offers a low-code to no-code environment for integrating ArcGIS processes with automation.

In this role you will play a key part in development. Software requirements must be coordinated from multiple sources including Product Management, Esri Support and Esri Community. Effective teamwork is necessary to collaborate with developers, product engineers, and release engineers in designing, building, testing, and delivering products. Given that Microsoft Power BI is often regarded as the leader in the BI market, we emphasize software quality and a commitment to assisting customers.

Responsibilities



  • Become an advocate for users of the product, using problem-solving skills to identify issues in our software and discover root causes
  • Join forces with developers on software project teams to build robust, high-quality, and scalable software
  • Research industry standards and specifications to translate requirements to software design
  • Drive forward the development and adoption of a continuous integration workflow, contributing your analytic abilities to the development of advanced automation framework and test harness design
  • Define and complete robust test workflows
  • Provide best practices, user documentation, demonstrations, and technical assistance for the product


Requirements



  • 5+ years of software testing or similar engineering experience
  • Experience in data science or analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to decipher complex problems and perform root cause analyses.
  • A self-driven and quality focused mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's information technology, computer science or a related field


Recommended Qualifications



  • Master's in information technology, computer science or a related field
  • Familiarity with scrum processes
  • A strong focus on ensuring quality assurance.
  • Some experience in a modern scripting language (such as Python or JavaScript)
  • Experience using web technology (REST, JSON, and more)
  • Experience developing and executing automated tests for functional, regression, and performance testing

$92,144 $153,920 USD
